A fascinating late 20th century Choora, the traditional side-knife of Afghani men. This example measures 12 inches overall, and has a thick T-cross section spine. Aluminum bolsters compliment horn and acrylic or plexiglass scales, under which appear pieces of printed Indian advertisements. This unique Iranian brass vase has a traditional Ghalamzani (Carved Persian Metalwork) design. The Persepolis scene depicting ancient Persia is a typical theme. Meticulously hand carved, the fabrication of this type of metalwork is a dying art. Measuring 18" tall by 10" across, and weighs six pounds, this piece is surprisingly solid. This piece is estimated to be made in Iran 40 to 60 years ago.

Meticulously hand carved Indo Persian Samovar. Made of silvered coin metal alloy. This particular samovar has some amazingly fine foliate detail featuring flowers and leaves with a serpent handle, and fancy ornamental openwork at the base. It is in very good condition. Measuring 11 " tall, 5" in diameter, and 9" from handle to spout, and weighing a little over 2.25 pounds before packing. This is estimated to be made in Central Asia 40 to 60 years ago.
