This is an outstanding 19th century Chinese Export enamel cloisonne round-form planter with floral decoration on a turquoise ground standing on three brass feet; rich coloration. Measures 8.75 opening x 4 in. tall. Cloisonne and enamel near perfect, wear to enamel inside.
This planter does have three feet although the angle of photo obscures one of the them.

DESCRIPTION: A large and exceptional Chinese cloisonné and gilt-bronze lidded bowl dating from the Republic Period (1911 – 1949). A wired royal-blue ground sets the stage for the vivid and colorful enamels in a fluid design of redbirds and butterflies among flagrant blooms.
