Lovely bronze and gilt Buddhist monk sitting in lotus meditation pose, with one holding on a mongoose, and another hand holding a jewel. Mongoose in the Tibetan tradition is often associated with wealth, and often seen with Kubera, the wealth guardian. This beautifully hand polished bronze Buddhist monk statue is so different from many other monk statues that it adds a little whimsical element to a zen environment. . 5" x 4" x 7".
