This snuff bottle came from an estate in London. It is old, at least 70 years and it is unusual in its size of 3 3/4" tall. It has highly raised figures and is an export quality. It has no damage, base has normal firing flaws for this type of ware. Nice look, glass top with brass spoon. An old piece soon to be considered antique. A good addition to a collection and a pleasing piece to look at.

An outstanding snuff bottle. Beautiful Serpentine Jade. Wonderful carving with 2 li Dragons as handles. Key design on bottom rim. Bone spoon. This bottle is 3" tall, 1/2" thick and well hollowed out. It looks much more expensive than my price now, and I am sure it will do better than the stock market as a term investment and something wonderful to look at while it grows in value. Not new, it is probably at least a few decades old.

Four fish swim on one side below calligraphy incised on a shoulder of the bottle; four fish on the other side swim among lotus plants, emblems of fruitfulness. For good measure, a ninth fish is incised between the two carved areas. Dating from mid to late 20th century, this piece is a relative newcomer in the venerable snuff bottle field. It is in excellent condition ex... Click for details
