A Phurba, also called shamanic knife, is a ritual dagger used to drive away evil spirits or negative influences. This is a classical example from Tamang people built on the classical three-side symetrical model. The top part is made of three human heads. The central part is the grip and represent the tibetan design of a dorje also called vajra. The lower part which represents a three-side blade, exhibits a precise carving representing an interweaving of three snakes used to fight evils spirits.... Click for details
