Narrow strips of bamboo have been loosely woven into the body of this ikebana basket to enhance the shape, provide texture and give the illusion of movement. Fine strips of bamboo, woven in the form of small ropes, accent the handle. Very good condition except for minor wear in a few places where the bamboo has split along the handle. Early to mid-1900's.
