A pair of Todai, raku-style tea bowls in modern design depicting the Sun and the Moon. They consist of a larger and a smaller bowl in peach-glazed ceramic with traces of grey and blue clouds rendered in ash glaze. Inside the bowls have a silver and a golden surface respectively. Impressed maker’s seal: Katsura kiln. Late Showa period, ca. 1970–1980. Fitted box. Diam. 18,5 cm. (a), diam. 15 cm. (b). Good condition but with wear from use in tea ceremony.
