The size of Koro: 5 1/4" L x 4 1/4" Dia x 5" H. Very Fine Japanese Shiro(white) Satsuma Koro done by renown Satsuma artist Katsume Kizan. The body is made by very fine crackle glazing Kagoshima Satsuma body. The workmenship is fantastic. The cover of Koro has very fine double sides lattice work on the top as well as in the back. This item is from the Shigaraki area of Japan, a region renowned for its many artists and kilns producing fine earthenware, known as yaki. Vintage ceramic tsubo, or vase, from the Shigaraki region of Japan. The Shigaraki area is renowned for its many kilns and artists producing fine earthenware, known as yaki. This vase dates to the mid Showa-Period (c.1950), and is in excellent condition. It features a layered glaze pattern, with terracotta at the base ascending to waves of bronze, accented by a aquamarine drip glaze near the rim. A pair of Todai, raku-style tea bowls in modern design depicting the Sun and the Moon. They consist of a larger and a smaller bowl in peach-glazed ceramic with traces of grey and blue clouds rendered in ash glaze. Inside the bowls have a silver and a golden surface respectively. Impressed maker’s seal: Katsura kiln. Late Showa period, ca. 1970–1980. Fitted box. Diam. 18,5 cm. (a), diam. 15 cm. (b). Good condition but with wear from use in tea ceremony.

The size of Kogo: 2" Dia x 1 3/4" High. Beautifully made Japanese Oribe Kogo by Matsumoto Tetsuzan. Kogo has beautiful color of deep dark green on the top. Kogo in the shape of Kuri(chestnut).
