A striking cloisonne vase made in pre WWII Japan, The motif is that of a cherry tree just coming into its spring bloom with two charming bluebirds. From the shading of the tree foliage, to the soft pinkish white cherry blossoms the artist was able to capture the renewing of life after a long winter season. The vase measures 8.25 in. tall and has nickel plated mounts (light wear) rather then chrome plating that became common after the end of WWII. The condition of the enamel is original mint. No R... This Japanese cloisonne vase stands 8.50 in. tall by 4.50 in. wide. The background enamel is a light peach with just a hint of red lending a nice contrast to the lavender, maroon and white green centered plum blossoms. The piece is done in two different sizes of gold and silver colored wire. both the top and bottom mounts are chrome plated and show next to no wear. This Japanese Cloisonne Vase stands 10.0 in. tall by 5.0 in. wide. The soft ivory colored enamel provides an excellent backdrop to the wonderfully shaded deep Maroon Rose petals and vibrant green leaves. Gold colored wire outlines the rose blossoms with silver colored wire forming the leaves veins. The top and bottom mounts are chrome plated and show very little ware. The enamel is in perfect condition. No Restoration. Unsigned. Later Showa era.

This charming pair of Japanese cloisonne vases is done in the basse-taille style. Each piece is decorated with two nicely shaded Butterfly Koi done in various shades of orange and gold enamel. The top / bottom mounts are done in brass with nickel plating and the throat and base in translucent green enamel.
