Offered here is a gorgeous circa 1900 Japanese imari plate or low bowl. I have 5 other identical plates available. Alternating panels depict cranes in a landscape. There is a lot of gilt enameled work on these plates, either as background or in the various motifs. This plate is 8.5" in diameter, as are the others. They are all in excellent condition.

This handsome Japanese Kutani porcelain vase in waisted cylindrical form was created by Living National Treasure Tokuda Yasokichi III (b. 1933). This vase is a marvelous example of Tokuda’s mastery of the “saiyu” technique of color gradation wherein the translucent Kutani glazes blend and overlap in a brilliant display of colors. The teal blue glaze on the long thin neck continues over the top of the shoulder where it fades into shimmering bands of light green and culminates in a rich aubergine ... Click for details

A lovely Japanese Satsuma scalloped bowl with gilt edge. Both the interior and exterior are beautifully painted with autumn colored maple leaves and outlined with gold gilt. On the interior as well as the exterior a small blue bird is perched on a branch. The background has an extremely fine crackle glaze. Signed in gold and in excellent condition, it measures 1.75” high x 3.75” diameter. The photos don’t do this little beauty justice. You will not be disappointed.
