Striking noren, or door curtain was bound and dyed, and may have been paste-resist-dyed as well. The overall pattern is attractive with the asymetrical burst and graceful leaf stems, and the details of the dye work are just as captivating. It is a production piece; there's a remnant of a sewn-on tag, and it dates from the Showa period.
