Oil on Canvas of a Fishing Boat "SAILFISH II" On the New Jersey Shore in Barnegat. Signed by Piccoli who might have been the owner of this boat and probably dates from the mid 20TH Century(1950-1960) A nice decorative painting for someone who lives or has a second home on the Eastern Shore of New Jersey, about a hour drive from Philadelphia. This painting measures 30" X 25" and is set in a wooden frame that measures 36" X 29 1/2". Good Condition.

A vintage mask of the Mai tribe from Middle Sepik River area in New Guinea. Nicely carved face with flaring nostrils. Conch shells are used for eyes and for the beard area while feathers and other organic materials are tied to create hair. Beautiful curvilinear designs are painted in white to decorate the face (they may perhaps be tattoos or tribal facial decorations). This piece was collected in the 1960s in Australia... Sepik River Region Mask. Made from a turtle shell and clay, it is studded with cowry shells and is framed in woven rattan with Lyre Bird feathers inserted at the top. Approximately 30 or 40 years old. Condition some repair to the clay face. Ochre and white pigment still intact. An excellent example of Papua New Guinean Primitive Art. Dimensions: 21.5cm/8.5in height and 16.2cm/6.4in width.

An outstanding suspension hook from the Middle Sepic River region of Papua New Guinea. It is a 44" tall male, carved from dense hardwood and adorned with an excellent necklace made from teeth and shells, as well as shell eyes and a nose piece made from an urchin spine. Collected in the 1950's.
