Quirky Burmese reverse glass painting incorporating colored foil of Popa Medaw, (Google Popa Medaw as there is quite a good write up on her myth), 22cm x 32 cm. Suwa Sozan (1852-1922) was born in Kutani country, present day Ishikawa prefecture, where he initially studied before moving to Tokyo in 1875...

A rare French Art Deco cocktail pick set (“porte-piques”) depicting Aesop’s fable about the raven and the fox.
