An original painting on shikishi paper by Suda Kyochu (1908 - 1964), depicting a frog in a pond. Painted in ink and with natural pigments. Suda Kyochu was a pupil of Seison Maeda (1885 - 1977), one of the greatest contemporary Japanese painters and one of the founders of the Nihonga movement. Signed and with original folder. A large shinto shrine constructed in the style based on the Grand Shrine of Ise. This type of construction for small shrines is often used by the local residents in Ise. A Limoges Porcelain Handle Magnifying Glass with a Floral Design; 6.5"

This drum shows deep carvings, the 3 face s on top are rather unusual, they show fierceful faces , this handle has been collected from Chepang tribes from Hetauda district, this district is south of kathmandu , Chepang are more or less Gipsy people living in forests and they are moving often and are living in established houses. In the past 10 years they have been approach by christian missionaries and few years ago I saw many Dhyangro from this district arriving on the market in Kathmandu...

Duncan & Miller Sandwich 9 oz. stems are in mint condition. They are 5.75" tall. The Sandwich pattern was made from 1924 to 1955. 18 stems are available.

Oil Painting by Park Deuk Soon (1910 - 1990), signed and dated 1949, with original frame. Park Deuk Soon studied in Tokyo with Ryohei Koizo and graduated from the Pacific Fine Arts School in 1938. He exhibited often at the National Art Exhibition and the Chosun Art Exhibition. He was also an educator and an active member of the Kukjeon, and served for a time as President of the Korean Painters Association. Original shin-hanga woodblock print titled "Sacred Grove" by artist Tōshi Yoshida (1911-1995). It is a nature scene showing a red temple with golden doors and roof, partially obscured by trees. The forest floor is mossy and only a small bit of the sky peeks through the treetops. The print is framed behind glass with a large wooden border. The photo shows reflection on the glass but the print is perfect. Size: (entire frame) 16" height, 12" width (print only) 9" height, 6.5" width

This old ceramic tray/plate is made for the Straits Chinese Community, it is of the typical pheonix design. It is an example of the nyonya ware, handpainted and used for serving tea. It is not in good condition as there are small cracks and hairlines on the four corner and lots of scratches all over the surface. Please ask for more photos....
