An interesting Satsuma pottery dish decorated in enamels and gilt with a scene of horse racing and spectators in lavish costumes, the reverse marked Nihon tei beneath a Shimazu mon. Diameter: 21.2 cm. Taisho, c. 1920.
Perfect condition; finely gilded.
The scene depicted is probably the kurabe-uma-e-jinji,a ritual horse race held in Kyoto annually on the 5th May.
A good and well form Annamese jar, decorated to the body with hanging lotus petals scrolls and to the shoulder with petals form all in very fine cobalt blue tone. Annamese ware 15th century, condition is perfect except tiny flake glaze to rim, no crack and free from restoration. High: 6cm.

Facon de Venise (in the style of Venice) candlestick, is just over 13" (33.02 cm) tall, with a base of 5" (12.70 cm) diameter; unsigned. Maker could be Venetian, or possibly even Steuben, American. Folded foot and rims, shadow-ribbed throughout, threading at throat of the holder, vertical rigaree on 4 sides near the attached stem; attached foot, snapped pontil (usual for Venetian, and for Steuben when the inside base is held up off the table surface, as in this base)...
This is a late Qing period crystal snuff bottle. On the shoulder of the snuff bottle it is curved with the design of Ruyi and the body that of the petals of the lotus and at the base it is surrounded all round with the lappets of the lotus. A very nice and elegant as well as well curved crystal snuff bottle. Cir. late Qing 19th/20th century.
