English Porcelain Covered Porcelain Bowl With Underplate. Having wide cobalt borders embellished with gilt geometric fields alternating with gilt floral sprays The cover with large gilt prunus finial. Excellent condition. Circa 1783-1788. Size: Bowl:6.875" W(handle to handle) x 4.75" H; Saucer:7.875" Dia. x 1.625" H.

Chinese Qing dynasty oval form reticulated export porcelain deep fruit basket and matching stand, or underplate, covered in a creamy white glaze with a gray tint. The bases are glazed but the foot rim of each piece is unglazed. These pierced baskets are typically found in Canton, Nanking, Fitzhugh, or Rose Medallion patterns. Fine early 17th century Chinese export Kraak plate, made at Jingdezhen. About 8.125" (21.5cm) diameter. Border VII.3 as classified by Rinaldi in "Kraak Porcelain -- A Moment in the History of Trade" (see p. 106). Dishes found in the Hatcher Cargo belong to this group. On rim the peach or sunflower motif alternates with large and simply drawn sacred emblems. Central motif is Bird and Flower. Please note chatter marks to the base...
