Antique Chinese hardwood table. The top is made of huang huali wood, the legs and border are made of burlwood and hardwood. The table is decorated with an interesting frieze like border with a rectalinear meandering border around a central piece of huang huali wood. It measures 28.5" by 37" by 34.5" tall.
Antique Chinese two door cabinet from the 18th or 19th century. Set with paired doors opening at a removable stile to reveal a removable shelf over a suspended shelf with a pair of drawers. It is made of jumu wood. It has brass fittings with double fish handles as pulls. It measures 36" wide 19" deep 67" tall.

It’s compact proportions, the cap extending to three sides and the order of panels and stretchers put this cabinet firmly in the Ming tradition. It isn’t said though that this dates the cabinet automatically pre-1644; the change of style from Ming to Qing didn’t happen overnight. Original thick bright-red lacquer on the front that has changed colour over time and under the influence of smoke to wine-red. Two-door cabinet with single drawer originating from a temple, Shanxi province, first half 18th century. The compact proportions and the division of the panelwork still breaths the old Ming style, although the lacquer-techniques used make it more probable this cabinet was made shortly after 1700.
