Beautiful matching lacquer papier mache bowl and under plate. Painted cherry blossom motif. No mark. Bowl is 1 3/4 high and 4 3/4 diameter. Under plate is 6 3/4 in diameter.

This is a very fine Japanese Satsuma vase from Kizan. It is a fairly large piece from this artist. The gold and enamel work are exquisite. The vase stands 5 ¾ tall and is 5 ¼ inches wide. Condition is near perfect. The only wear I could find was on the signature.

Japanese twin pronged kanzashi with an agate ball. Late Meiji/Taisho period. Kanzashi is 6" long and the diameter of the ball is 3/4".

A Japanese MEIJI Period woman's tobacco pouch and KISERUZUTSU pipe case set. The pipe case is made of ivory with a simple shape. The loop to which the string to the case is attached is beautifully carved as a branch of a flower coming out of a basket of flowers. The pouch is made of a dark brown leather. The clasp is in a gold toned metal in the shape of a flying crane. The clasp is signed on the bottom. The OJIME is made out of malachite. The pouch measures 4" wide and 2 1/2" tall...

Beautiful antique Kanzashi, Kogai Japanese hair pin with gold maki-e on tortoiseshell with identical design on both sides, 5 1/4 inches long.

A Japanese tissue or cloth holder for a tea ceremony, finely woven with a diamond design, the interior lined in leather, all held together with an ivory clasp carved as a lion's head (shishi) mask, Taisho period.

These paper accordian collapsible lanterns can be hung or hand carried. The candle pricket sits between two rectangular tubes where the lantern harp can be inserted and then hung. A handle attached to the black lacquered collar allows the lamp to be hand carried. Persimmon tannin coats the paper which makes it water resistant.
