Antique Japanese long ranma (transom), carved of hinoki (Japanese cypress) wood with black lacquer frame, scene carved on both sides of family of turtles and twisting plum branches, signed and contains a seal like carving with the name, Shuzan . Size: 68 1/2" long x 16 1/4" high x 1" deep.

Exquisite pair of gold gilt lacquered wood buddhist temple altar flowers in bronze flower vases. Taisho Period C. 1915. 10 lotus flowers in each vase carved immaculately and covered in gold gilt. Initially carved out of cypress wood, black lacquered and then covered in gold gilt. Condition is excellent. Height of each vase is 105cm x 53cm wide. Ask for shipping quote.

Mid-Edo Period ca. 1775. Minor old loss. Light lichen accumulation.
