A very beautiful and impressive wooden box of octagonal shape, covered with black lacquer and richly decorated with ornaments of gilt lacquer. The front side applied with various hardstones to depict an ensemble of scholars´objects. There are some Chinese incised characters to the hardstone decoration which might be a signature of the artist.

A pair of Qingbai glazed covered boxes with a moulded decoration, made with the same mould. The shape of the base of both pieces is different. Both pieces were excavated at the same location at Sangir island, north Sulawesi, Indonesia.

A thinly potted bowl with a carved decoration and glazed with an nice pale blue Qingbai glaze. Northern Song Dynasty ( 1127 - 1279 ) There is an old Chinese inscription to the unglazed base. Diameter : 15,8 cm. H : 4,9 cm. Condition : One old, very small chip resp. frit to the rim. Further in perfect condition with an nice "ping" tone when tapped.
A large, very well and thinly potted bowl. The exterior of the steep rounded sides finely incised with two striding five-clawed dragons in mutual pursuit of flaming pearls, and enamelled in yellow, aubergine, black and shades of green with three different kind of large fruit branches. The present bowl belongs to a group of bowls and saucer dishes decorated with dragons in anhua design and enamelled over the glaze, with the two types of decoration showing no awareness of each other's existenc ...click for details
