19th century small ivory netsuke of a dancing man with one foot raised and a fan in one hand. His shaved head and long pigtail indicates that he is Manchu rather than Han Chinese. Beautiful delicate carving, excellent portrait quality face, great depiction of swirling clouds on his coat, buttons are inlaid with green staghorn, wonderful mellow patina. 19th century Chinese white/gray jade snuff bottle of rectangular section carved with a bat and Immortality Fungus on one side, and a lengthy poem on the other. Very well carved and hollowed. True nephrite jade, very pleasant matte surface, beautiful brown streak incorporated into design, carnelian stopper, ivory spoon. Height with stopper 2 3/8 inches.

Unusual late Qing Dynasty (late 19th century to 1911) buffalo horn carving of two reclining chimeras touching each other’s front to hind legs. Does not photograph well - the material is nicely translucent, and is particularly beautiful when viewed against the light. Excellent crisp carving, overall in superb condition. Fantastic quality material - deep honey/amber colored translucent horn with beautiful texture. Wonderful object for scholar’s table. Length 2 inches.

Rather unusual 19th century Chinese pewter wine pot of 6-lobed section with brass and copper inlays of various plants, leaves and butterflies on the sides and the top. Very good quality work with wealth of details (does not photograph well). Rims of the body and cover are inlaid with brass, large convenient handle. 19th century ivory netsuke of 2 seated men and a standing woman with a sake bottle. The subject of the netsuke is sannin jogo - the three drunkards showing the varying effects of sake: laughter, weeping and anger. Uncommon treatment of the subject (usually there are 3 men involved), superb faces, excellent attention to details - see the decoration of autumn grasses delicately incised on the sake bottle.
