Good size 19th century (can be earlier) Tibetan turned burl wood dish / stand with massive high foot for temple offerings. Very nicely turned, in great shape, usual burl wood blemishes, fantastic dark patina on beautiful wood. Very pleasant piece with wonderful feel of age. Diameter 6 1/2 inches, height 3 5/8 inches.

18th century or earlier (could be as early as 17th century) Tibetan double seal made out of iron which is traditionally believed to be of meteorite origin. Nicely carved seal surfaces on both ends - one round, one square, traces of red seal paste in the grooves. Perforation in the middle for hanging, wonderful patina from handling. Length 2 1/4 inches.

Stupa shaped finial, nicely incised geometric patterns around the body, very clear seal carving. Perforation in the middle for hanging, traces of red seal paste in the grooves of the seal, wonderful patina from handling. Height 1 7/16 inches.

18th century Chinese bronze sculpture of a running boy holding a Precious Gem in his raised hand. Unusual image, wonderful casting and detailing - see his smiling face and knots of his robe. Excellent warm patina, 200 years worth of compressed dust on the surface, pleasantly heavy. Fixed to a newer beautifully carved hardwood stand. Very nice object for scholarís desk. Height with stand 3 5/16 inches (84 mm).

19th century Japanese cloisonne plate decorated with two quails by a stream with grasses and flowers, one of the birds wistfully looking up at a millet stalk, all within a border of stylized flowers. The back is decorated with a typical Japanese scrolling design. Rare and early piece in terms of Japanese cloisonne, beautiful crisp work, in superb condition - no cracks or losses. Very pleasant matte finish with original pitting. Diameter 12 inches.

19th century Japanese bronze / brass page turner with engraved blade and low relief handle depicting front and back views of an owl catching a frog in its talons. Very clever design, brilliant work with wonderful detailing - see the faces of the characters, finely worked feathers and warty skin. The blade is engraved with a bird in flight above different flowers. Wonderful object for writing desk. Length 10 3/4 inches.

Early 19th century ivory netsuke of seated Jurojin (one of the 7 Gods of Good Fortune, usually associated with longevity) leaning on one hand. Wonderful early carving of characteristic triangular section, smiling benevolent face, great fat earrings, beautifully etched textile patterns, some black and red highlights. Expert light staining, superb patina. Height 1 1/8 inches.

19th century ivory netsuke of three chestnuts, two of them containing anabori (cavern) carving of landscape with a boat floating along a canal surrounded by banks with thatched roofed huts. Nice quiet carving with beautiful patina, excellent staining, old age lines. Length 1 11/16 inches.

Late Qing Dynasty (1890s to 1911) Chinese agate brushrest carved as five peaks with foothills. The piece gives a good feeling of weathered mountain surfaces and quiet energy of the stone. Superbly clever use of material - moss agate inclusions depict separate trees, and layered agate perfectly represents geological strata in the foothills.
