Late Qing dynasty (1890s to 1911) Chinese kesi textile with woven design of a 5-clawed dragon in pursuit of a flaming Precious Pearl among clouds surrounded by 4 bats. Excellent quality sharp work, strong colors, in perfect condition. Framed and glazed on both sides, textile size in sight is 8.5 x 7.5 inches.

Late Qing Dynasty (late 19th century to 1911) Chinese rock crystal seal with 4 carved characters on the base, traces of red seal paste in the grooves. The material is rock crystal - there are some natural inclusions in the stone that did not photograph well, but can be seen against the light. Unusual 19th century Hirado Japanese porcelain brushrest in a shape of a karako (Chinese boy) lying on his stomach with his head and feet raised, his head is moveable. Old Chinese scholar’s rock suggesting a huge mountain with snow covered areas. Rather massive and dramatically shaped black Lingbi limestone with intensive white veining and inclusions, very richly textured surface, nicely carved newer fitted stand. Can be viewed from at least 4 sides, wonderful object for contemplation on scholar’s table, one of the best rocks that I have had. Length with stand 11 inches, height with stand 6 inches, weight about 7 pounds.
