Late Qing Dynasty (1890s to 1911) small Chinese Canton enamel covered box for seal paste painted on the top with polychrome enamels depicting a Chinese lady with a fan in a garden, border of flower spray reserves and scrolling vines. Nice quality painting with famille rose colors, all dark spots are original pitting marks. Quiet item for scholar’s desk. Height 1 inch, diameter 2 1/4 inches.

19th century Chinese Canton enamel footed shallow dish painted in polychrome enamels with 4 different archaic bronze vessels containing scholar’s items such as reishi fungus scepter, peacock feather and coral branch, all on light blue ground. Scrolling design in black enamel on the inside and in blue on the outside. Blue enamel floral mark on the bottom. Some tiny chipping outside along the upper rim.
