Elegant piece with great dynamic design, wonderful detailing (see the individual hairs on its legs), beautiful patina. The piece is in perfect condition, 3 loops on the back for hanging, silk cord. Excellent quality work, great faces and textile lines. Sliding door on the bottom marked STERLING 950, scratches to the bottom of one piece as can be seen on photos (can be polished off, I guess). 1930s Japanese silver open salt in hibachi (portable charcoal-burning brazier) shape with 4 feet, glass insert and spoon with handle shaped like a Japanese tobacco pipe. Longer sides are decorated with 2 characters and samurai family crests, each comprised of three water lily leaves. Excellent crisp work, in great condition, marked STERLING ASAHI 950 on the bottom.
