Rather unusual Japanese pewter hexagonal bowl with raised, incised and lacquered decoration of Manchurian cranes in flight over pine saplings on the inside and raised designs of stylized samurai crests among vines with tendrils. Very uncommon use of lacquer on metal. Elegant piece, well made, pleasantly heavy, beautiful patina to the metal, in great condition.
