20th century Japanese porcelain sculpture of Ebisu and Daikoku (two of the Seven Gods of Good Fortune) looking slightly inebriated and doing a little dance. Like any light object does not photograph well - the true color of the glaze is white with slightest blue tinge. With Ebisu being the god of fishing, and Daikoku that of rice, the sculpture is essentially a wish for prosperity. 1930s Japanese Kutani porcelain tokkuri - sake bottle - with enamel decoration of marumon - roundels with different designs including samurai family crests. Original stopper, 3 short feet. Excellent quality detailed painting, wonderful bright enamels. Marked in red enamel on the bottom with Japanese characters meaning HAPPINESS. Some compressed dust on the surface, overall in excellent condition. Height with cover 6 3/8 inches.
Unusual 1920s Japanese porcelain cup in classic shape decorated with 3 cranes in flight among stylized clouds in gold on tomato red ground, and underglaze blue keyfret design around the foot. Excellent potting, superb quality painting. Signed in underglaze blue on the bottom DAI NIHON EIRAKU ZO for one of the later generations of potters from the Eiraku line. Very pleasant and beautifully made piece, quite rare, in perfect condition. Diameter 2 11/16 inches, height 1 3/4 inches.

Fukagawa Japanese porcelain vase of square section with indented corners, and underglaze blue and enamel decoration of a flowering prunus tree with chrysanthemum flowers at its roots. Excellent quality painting, skilled use of gold, green, tomato red, yellow and white enamels. Marked in blue enamel on the bottom with a mountain and inscribed FUKAGAWA TSUKURU (made in Fukagawa). Rather unusual and amuzing good size Japanese Arita porcelain plate with enamel decoration of two rats wearing kimonos and pulling a strand of seaweed with Japanese coins out of the shallow stream, with a rake and reeds nearby. Very nice potting (2 openings in the rim on the back for hanging), excellent quality delightful painting - see see freedom in the depiction of curling waves, in perfect condition.
