| 15/16th century small Indian bronze votive sculpture of the Vaishnava saint Vedanta Desika (1269-1370), writer and philosopher, and one of the greatest successors of Ramanuja. Cast in Southern India, Vijayanagar period, 15/16th century. Delicate casting (see the detailing of face and his right hand in vitarka mudra), characteristic hat with spiral arrangement on the back, beautiful patina. Height 1 1/4 inches. | ||
