Pleasant design, beautiful quiet carving, pleasant wear and patina. Signed GYOKUSEN - the artist was a netsuke carver and is listed on p. 428 of NETSUKE & INRO ARTISTS AND HOW TO READ THEIR SIGNATURES by George Lazarnick. Nice object for writing desk.
