| Early 19th century ebony netsuke carved in the round as a landscape with scholars in different settings of temples, huts and a bridge among trees and rocks, all on a minute scale in the manner of Kagetoshi. Very good netsuke carved with confidence and great details, beautiful luster to the wood. Like any dark object does not photograph well. Signed SHINBOKU on the bottom - the artist is listed on p. 953 of NETSUKE & INRO ARTISTS AND HOW TO READ THEIR SIGNATURES by George Lazarnick. Height 1 inch. | ||
