| Early 19th century Japanese kashira (metal pommel at the end of the hilt of a sword) with multimetal inlays depicting two cranes in flight among clouds above distant hills, all on a punched ground. Superbly made piece with crisp metalwork and gilding in excellent condition, wonderful detailing. Length 1 1/4 inches. | ||
