| Early 19th century Japanese kashira (metal pommel at the end of the hilt of a sword) with multimetal inlays depicting the head of Jurojin (one of the 7 Gods of Good Fortune, he is usually associated with longevity) enveloped in his robe, and holding a scroll in front of him. Superbly made piece with crisp metalwork, different patinas, in great condition. Two-part silver fitting on the back with incised pine design. Length 1 5/16 inches. | ||
