The figure is Banko ware pottery, and there is a very worn, unreadable marking on the bottom. This is a comical monkey in that he is holding a lighted pipe in one hand and a sake bottle in the other hand, and on the bottle in says "hino yo gin" which translates to "watch out for the open fire". The Stand will hold a disk 7 1/2" in diameter, and the slot is 7/8" wide at the top and rounding to a depth of 3/8". The stand measures about 6" high x 7" wide x 3" deep.
