An Imperial Japanese Navy Officer's Full Dress Fore and Aft hat dating from the early 20th century right up to and including WW2. Still in its original storage case, this hat has been in storage for half a century. The two rings of bullion running over the rosette signify that this hat belonged to the rank of Field Officer. Originally modeled on British design, the makers crest on the underside features crowns and stags. The liner is leather with red silk interior. Overall condition is good considering age with misshapen tarnished bullion and loss of surface along edge. Dimensions: 15" x 6" x 6". An excellent addition to any display of WW2 Japanese Navy items.
