Born in Brooklyn, NY, Stewart received her artistic training at the Art Students League and National Academy School of Fine Art, NY. A widely exhibited artist, she won a first price in oil painting from the Gregory Museum in 1972. She was also an art teacher and contributed to “Prize Winning Art Book 7” published in 1967. Her work is held in the permanent collection of the Gregory Museum, NY and Mercy Hospital, NY.
