Hand-colored lithograph heightened with gum arabic, ca. 1870. Toned overall with light foxing. There is one pronounced foxing mark at the tip of the wing on the lower parrot, and a wrinkle in the left margin created a crease running 3 3/4" from the edge down and in 7/8" with three other small 1/2" tears along the bottom edge and one 1/4" on the right side. All of the tears should mat out when framing. Sheet measures 20 5/8" x 13 3/8."
Plate IX from the portfolio publication "Abbildung und Beschreibung Merkwurdiger Saugethiere" by A.F.A. Weigmann, 1831-1832. Very clean and bright image with a few light foxing spots. The top corners are chipped and a 3/4" tear near the middle of the right side has been stabilized by archival repair tape. Measures 18 1/8" x 12 3/4."

Hand-colored Original Aquatint Engraving, Signed in plate; 1809. The print has been stabilized on an acid-free backer sheet with some tears and silverfish erosion at the top and lower areas, all occurring prior to the stabilization. Sheet measures 15 1/4" x 12 1/4."
