A pair of cast iron andirons with original glass eyes (one eye shows a slight almost imperceptible scratch). Light from the fireplace glows through the eyes bringing the owls to life. Several American foundries manufactured these during the 19th and early 20th centuries and this pair has a seldom found mark indicating the date of manufacture (copyright Sept 14, 1887- see photos). We believe that these were manufactured by Peck, Stow and Wilcox, a Connecticut foundry. 16" H. X 17" D. X ...click for details

American, circa 1900. 20" H. X 9-1/2" W. X 17" D. overall. We accept time payments and quantity discounts. We hav ...click for details
