A fine Japanese Meiji box probably made by sword makers in the late 19th century. The intricate work of copper,silver gold and other mixed metals is inlaid or worked into iron. The top with a farmer. detailed with a hoe over his shoulder, a pipe in his hand, and a stripped jacket standing by a tree worked in with gold and with a boarder of intricate morning glories, lilies, leaves. An attractive Chinese Pewter Tea Pot, of melon ribbed form, with decorative sprays of branches and leaves set with several cabochon stones of agate, jade, amethyst, and a yellow stone. Also, the handle of light colored jade, and the finial a dark green stone. The handle with dragon head. Lovely shape and decorative. In excellent condition with no damages or repairs.
