Pair of Chinese hand carved wooden guardian figurines. Excellent condition. No repairs or damages that I know of. Featuring a dramatic antique Japanese carved wood netsuke of gamma sennin, one hand to his head, his sleeve blowing in the wind, and the other hand holding a frog on his leg. Extraordinary large 12" Japanese cloisonne plate or charger. The wonderful fan motif with birds and flowers is unusually well designed and most desirable in Japanese art. This motif is not easily found on Japanese cloisonne and fairly unique in such fine quality. The background has a fine scroll and mon-like motif.
