Made during the 18th-19th century, lavender scent bottles as this were sold at spas. Luckily, some of these charming bottles have survived. They usually contained lavender perfume. This bottle measures 7" long and has ovals cut into two sides with gold designs on the other two sides. Probably was made in Bohemia in the mid 19th century. Featuring a nice example of Steuben gold iridescent glass. Shimmering deep gold aurene interior with white calcite on reverse. Measures 5" across and 1" high. Ground pontil on underside. Excellent condition. Rings like a bell when tinged. No chips or cracks. Minor tiny wear spot almost in dead center on the raised point. Very hard to see with brilliant reflection of the gold glass.
