Superb walking stick or cane with hand carved ivory dog's head. There is a decorative gilt metal piece between the head and the stick which I think is sterling as there is a tip on the bottom that is marked sterling and it is gilt also but the piece at the top is not marked. This cane is in excellent condition. I believe the dogs head is marine ivory or walrus tusk. This dog is really life like and well carved.
