Featuring a rare, fine quality Japanese Satsuma kogo(covered box) with a procession of Samurai by castle gate. Sides with profuse flowers, and interior with domestic scene on both sides. Signed Juzan in red and gold square with gold characters on black background. Juzan was a fine artist, among the best. Dates to the late 19th century. An unusual and fine Japanese Golden Age naturalistic cloisonne napkin ring done in the style of Namikawa Sosuke. The artistically rendered cherry blossoms in shades of pink and white encircle the napkin ring on a gray background, a lovely color combination.
