Featuring a lovely Satsuma plate with an exquisite subtle scene of a pair of male and female ducks swimming amongst grasses and pale pink flowers with gold centers. The artist that painted this scene used great skill in all details, shading and blending of colors, and with the suggestion of haze to the left side as it fades into shadow foliage in the distance. This outstanding magnifying glass, combined with a 19th century beautifully carved Chinese elephant ivory handle, is a stunner and excellently assembled with a great lens for magnification. The overall length measures 12" long and the lens is 4 1/2" in diameter. Must see to believe. Featuring a fine elephant ivory Chinese carving of a Chinese beauty or goddess. Very peaceful expression on face. Finely carved details in facial features, hair(flowers and hair pin in hair), hands, flowing robe folds, sashes(with open work) etc. Measures 6.25" high without stand, x 1.5" wide x approx. 1" deep.
