Beautiful little 3 1/2" Satsuma vase with profuse, exquisite, artistic, shaded lavender-purple and white(raised enamel) wisteria(14 clusters) cascading down on all sides from shoulder with green leaves. Very fine crackle. Lovely shape with small neck. Gilded neck and foot with some no harm wear. Signed on foot with unidentified black characters. Kinkozan quality. Dates circa 1900. The rim is minutely decorated with polychrome flowers and five reserves with various flowers. Signed in gilt and impressed marks for Kinkozan. The scene depicts Act 2 from Chusengara. Featuring a rare, fine quality Japanese Satsuma kogo(covered box) with a procession of Samurai by castle gate. Sides with profuse flowers, and interior with domestic scene on both sides. Signed Juzan in red and gold square with gold characters on black background. Juzan was a fine artist, among the best. Dates to the late 19th century. Featuring an exquisitely detailed/painted Satsuma double gourd vase with two finely decorated panels on a cobalt blue background signed Kinkozan. One rare panel depicts implements used in the tea ceremony on a 3 tiered table (shodana) and on the floor.
