Excellent condition, with minor normal wear due to age only seen under high magnification. Featuring a superb Japanese antique gold lacquer and mother of pearl hairpin, Kogai, and comb, Kushi, set,Kanzashi. Very tiny, so delicate, inlaid mother of pearl flowers, leaves,butterfly, chrysanthemums and other plant life and various techniques of Japanese lacquer on both sides of comb. Even the thin top part of the comb is decorated. Also, very tiny lacquer work on the teeth on one side. Three typical, beautiful motifs in Japanese design! The box dates circa 1900.
