Charming yellow bird in flight marked sterling silver, probably American, c. 1920. Detailed guilloche design in the silver body of the bird. Wonderful rich yellow enamel. Measures 1 1/2" long x almost 1" high. Excellent condition. No chips, damages, repairs or scratches. Minute area on right wing tip where the enameled skipped a tiny bit in the making. Nice quality sterling silver pin set with pietra dura flower arrangement. The flower arrangement is a white and a yellow flower spray with green leaves and it is set in a fine continental beaded intricate silver filigree setting which is stamped 800, the continental mark for sterling. The silver content is a little less than ours, at 925. The pin measures 1 1/2" long and almost 1 1/4" wide. There is a safety catch and the pin is in excellent condition. Beautiful detail with 4 sections: a sterling applied bird with engraving, 2 flowers with gold, and 2 leaves with a different color of gold. All sections have engraving around them.
