Featuring a small rare English speckled brown on cream color porcelain scent bottle realistically modeled to resemble a birds egg by McIntyre &Co. of Burslem. Screw on top assayed by "C.S. F.S.", date mark "r" (1881-1882) and anchor(Birmingham). The top is engraved with initials "LS" or whatever you might like them to be. It measure 1 1/2" long and is in perfect condition. Pair of Chinese hand carved wooden guardian figurines. Excellent condition. No repairs or damages that I know of. I assume the guilding is meant to look like this, but I am not an expert on this type of work. Very well done carving/workmanship with powerful expressions. Date to the 19th century to the best of my knowledge. Aproximately 51/2"-6" tall. These came out of a local estate of a knowledgeable collector who only had the best. Featuring a very pretty 9" French Limoges plate, hand painted with pink flowers and an ornate gold rococo border. Stamped with green mark MR France patent applied for. MR is the mark for M. Martial Redon was a fine maker/decorator of Limoges china and his company was founded in 1853. This plate was probably imported into the USA around 1900 as a plain white blank, and then an American lady painted it. Featuring a fine 18th century Japanese shishi netsuke with peony. Carved out of so called Umamitsu, which I was told is sea pine or black coral. Perhaps it is amber, as when held up to light, there is a sort of translucent amber color that comes through. Very fine work. Measures just under 1.5" long x 1" deep x 1" high.
