| Featuring a rare Japanese Imari porcelain serving bowl or platter, scalloped shaped, with the map of Japan and the various provinces and their names written in gold, all on a blue sea background and stylized waves at the upper and lower edges. The reverse with stylized chidori and waves and signature in center. Diameter 11" x 8 3/4" high. Excellent condition. No chips, cracks, damages or restorations. Slight firing flaws in porcelain on reverse due to firing/making. Probably dates to the early to mid 19th century, but could be earlier.
