Intricate Japanese Tiny Ivory Netsuke Horse 1 1/4"c1900
Hold

Featuring a charming, intricately carved antique Japanese Meiji period ivory netsuke of family, a mother and two children, washing a horse who has his head down while he chomps on some hay. He is tied to a post, and his back legs are in a wooden tub. Dating c. 1900. Dimensions, 1 1/4" diameter, height 1 3/8". A small tea house with a window has been carved into the underside of the base. This was probably done to hide a flaw in the ivory(where the window is, not to be mistaken for the himatoshi). Signed by artist. Excellent condition. No chips, damages or restorations. Return privilege providing item returned in sent condition, within 3 days of receipt, and the way it was packed if possible. Sales tax charged if sold in NY state, unless valid resale tax number and signed formed provided.
