Art Glass Vase Japanese Decor European or American
Featuring a beautiful antique art glass 10 3/4" vase possible made by a New England glass company as Smith Brothers of the Sandwich Glass Co or possibly European, French or Baccarat. All hand painted artistically with Japanese motifs: a fan shaped reserve with bird, a round reserve with lovely scene by a lake, all surrounded by cascading cherry blossoms on a salmon colored background. This vase is a fine example of Japonisme and is illustrative of Japan's influence on the art of other countries during the late 19th century. There are similar examples as this in the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk Virginia that are well documented. It is in excellent condition and dates circa 1880. No chips, cracks or damages. Satisfaction guaranteed or money back. 3 day return privilege providing item returned in sent condition. Postage/insurance extra. New York state buyer pays their local sales tax unless valid tax number with resale certificate provided.
