| Featuring a very lovely and unique little sterling bowl mounted with a beautiful jade ring boarder. Made in China for the fine Japanese store, Yamanaka. Stamped Made in China Yamanka. Not marked sterling but tested and guaranteed. Measures just under 3 1/4" in diameter and 1/2" high. Dates pre WWII, around 1920 but could be older. Very interesting, unusual little piece. In excellent condition. Jade has an inclusion or an internal flaw in it, but I do not believe it is a crack. It has been examined carefully with a 10 power loop and I can find no breaks in the surface. See photo for smooth surface where the inclusion is located/seen. The jade ring is probably much older than when it was mounted on the bowl. Good color and translucency considering it is mounted in the silver. Not sure what it was used for, possible snuff, or perhaps a scholars item. Return privilege providing item returned in sent condition withing 3 days of receipt and in original packaging. Sales tax collected if sold in New York state unless valid resale tax number and form provided. | ||
