Unusual Meiji Period netsuke ! Hexagonal - about 1 1/2 inches across at the widest points - in the center of the top is a 3/4 inch across round dragon - the dragon is exceptional work in silver and gold -- it is hinged to the hexagon and opens to reveal a round chamber -- perhaps an ashtray - perhaps for medicine -- The back is cloisonne with a beautiful silver toggle -- it attaches to a 3 chain unit with a mon decoration - that probably attached to a pouch at some time -- all in excellent condi ...click for details
